Lock Repair · Dulwich & South London
Lock Repair in Dulwich & South London — From £55
A lock that needs a wiggle, a key that only turns if you lift the handle just so, a deadbolt that scrapes — these aren't quirks to live with. They're the early warnings of a mechanism heading for complete failure, and complete failure usually arrives as a lockout at the worst possible time. Most lock repairs are straightforward and far cheaper than the emergency they prevent.
We repair all common lock types: euro cylinders, mortice deadlocks and sashlocks, nightlatches, UPVC multipoint mechanisms, and window locks. Our vans carry the parts for the hardware most common in South London homes — ERA, Yale, Fullex, Avocet, Mila and Fuhr — so most repairs finish in a single visit.

Lock Repair — FAQs
My key is getting harder to turn — should I get it looked at?
Yes, sooner rather than later. Increasing stiffness means internal wear, and the next stage is often a key snapping in the cylinder or the lock seizing entirely. A repair now typically costs from £55; a seized lock plus an emergency callout costs considerably more.
Can you repair a UPVC door lock or does the whole door need replacing?
In the vast majority of cases the door is fine — it's the multipoint gearbox or locking mechanism that has failed, and that's a replaceable part. We carry ERA, Fullex, Avocet and other common mechanisms and can usually replace the failed part in a single visit from £95 including parts.
Do you repair old mortice locks in period properties?
Yes. Dulwich's Victorian and Edwardian terraces are full of 5-lever mortice locks, and we service, repair and replace them — including upgrading to BS3621 insurance-approved specification where the case allows.
